Great place to learn about Florida's earliest civilizations up to present day. It's free and manageable to see every exhibit in a couple hours. Great activity on a hot or rainy day! Native american dioramas, spanish conquistadors and their loot, Florida's role in the civil war. The evolving economy & industry-citrus- cotton-railways-riverboats-tourism. The final exhibit changes regularly, sometimes with Florida artists or, as on display now, a surprisingly interesting display of the history of surf boarding! Parking garage next door. Easy walk from Capitol, Kleman Plaza, FSU College of Law and Civic Center
