Take a trip on the Brisbane River. If you get the ferry around to New Farm you can check out the New Farm Powerhouse which often has festivals, comedy, theatre shows, bands and some nice restaurants.

You can visit South Ban, take ferry City Hopper for free to Kangaroo point or Eagle st for dinner, or Botanic Garden

Free ferry that goes 30 mins one way along the river. Return trip takes arond one hour, and it is a nice way to see Brisbane. It also goes to the city centre, 5 mins.

Consider a river cruise? The price is the same as a bus ride - pay with your Go Card. The river is pretty at night. Travel upstream (North West) to see the University of Queensland (going past residential suburbs of Toowong on your right and West End on your left). Or Travel downstream to see the Kangaroo Point cliffs on your right, Newfarm park on your left, the riverside highrises (refurbished WoolSheds) at Teneriffe on your left, architectural designed houses on your right at Bulimba, and cruise ships leaving on your left at Brett's wharf in Hamilton. Finish at the Eat Street Night Markets (where eating is good as the name suggests).
