This trail is a few hundred yards from our unit. Walks along the river following the old railroad tracks. There is local history information along the trail. Also any amazing view of Nora Mill dam can be seen. This trail is the easiest one in the area. Trail is paved with a parking lot.

Lovely exercise and close to the chalet. When you leave your chalet, turn right at the stop sign, turn right at the next stop sign and cross the bridge. Continue past the water park and turn left into the parking lot for the trail. The trail is 1.8 miles out and back and is perfect for a stroller. The ADA accessible trail follows the Chattahoochee River to the Hardman Farm State Historic Site. Interpretive signs share history, Helen's heritage and plant information. Plan on spending about 40 minutes on the walk.

Walk alongside history on the beautiful Helen to Hardman Heritage Trail. This one (1) mile ADA accessible trail follows the Chattahoochee River from Hardman Farm State Historic Site to Alpine Helen. Interpretive panels along the way share about native plants and animals, Helen’s heritage and the influences that have made this area attractive to people for over one thousand years. Parking is located at both ends of the trail.
