The BEST tacos in LA. These are authentic Mexican street tacos. They sell them for a $1 each (cash only). I think they only sell them during dinner time but I could be wrong.

You can't visit LA without trying LA's famous street tacos, often taking the form of an open-air taco stand or a food truck. While Ave 26 may not be my favorite taco spot, it's a special experience to eat here. Named after the street on which it was originally located, the taco stand started off as a small affair that ballooned into one of the most popular taco stands in LA today. It has a storied history and is beloved by locals. Known for their cheap but tasty tacos, you could feed a small army with the change in your back pocket. if you've never tried street tacos before, I highly recommend trying out some of their more adventurous choices such as the lengua (beef tongue), cabeza (beef head/cheek), or tripas (intestines). Their brisket, carne asada, and al pastor (marinated pork) are also crowd favorites. Don't forget to ask for a potato on the side!
