Walk straight out of the door, through the village and into gorgeous Somerset countryside.....and look out for the swans on the lake! Directions: Turn Left out of the cottage, and left again onto to the High street, walk for 2 minutes until you see the mini roundabout and The Red Lion. Walk through the pub car park, at the end is a footpath leading down to tennis courts and then eventually a football pitch. Approximately 10 minutes. Follow the path till the end and turn right onto an old track. Follow the track till you reach the woods, cross over a small footbridge, and then after a minute you'll reach a beautiful disused railway track. Turn Right along the railway track, follow till the end. Over the style and up some steps, turn right onto the country lane for 2 minutes. On the bend turn left, over the style, past the sewage plant (doesn't smell!), and then left onto the footpath, over a little footbridge, and into the open fields. Bear right along the little lake. There's a lovely picnic spot overlooking the water, with a beautiful restored stone bridge.
