Cafe Miami looks like it’s been designed by a person who permanently looks at the world through the filter of their baby blue transparent aviator lenses. If that puts you off, then ‘chai not’ to read the puns on their board outside. See what we did there? Sorry. That said, there are some very decent breakfast and brunch options going on here. Fish finger tacos are big, homemade, guac- and cabbage-filled things, while their fried egg cooking (an underrated plus point in our eyes) is on point: perfectly crispy and yolky.

Another brunch and coffee spot that’s essentially just one big photo-op. Pancakes are a highlight here, with classic blueberry, bacon and maple for purists; Ribena compote and crème fraiche for the young at heart; and a gluten-free option as well.
North Hackney’s latest Instagram paradise is achingly stylised but incredibly well curated – a pastel-toned brunch-based photo op complete with retro furnishings, hand-picked condiments and a menu that soaks up influences from Spain, Mexico and all in between. The waffle burgers (heart-shaped, of course) are a standout.
