Maligne Lake is in Jasper National Park and requires a day trip or overnight stay in the area as it is a 4.5 hour drive from our cabin. We have done this in one day but it is a long drive (albeit a stunning one) on the world famous Icefield Parkway with so many stunning lookouts and vistas. 22km long, the majestic Maligne Lake is the second-largest natural lake in the Canadian Rockies. There are plenty of activities to do in the Maligne Valley including hiking Bald Hills, walking the lake shore and boat tours to Spirit Island to name but a few. One of the most photogenic place in the Canadian Rockies and a must see!
