The Palace of Culture was a "gift" from Stalin and Soviet regime back in the day. For some remains an unpleasant memory, for others became indispensable part of Warsaw. Bars, cinemas, theaters inside.

If the weather is nice, definately go to the top of the Palace - there's a great view on the city from there. Also, downstairs on the street level, there's a popular bar - Cafe Kulturalna (from the site of Marszałkowska street)
