Take a few hours for a train ride through the mountains. Go from Blue Ridge, GA to Mccaysville, a town in three states.
Now that there are places to go shop and eat I will reccomend this train ride. Its pretty & scenic, a nice way to see some back country.
A fun few hours riding the train to Tennessee, shopping and return train ride along the Toccoa river.
So fun to see the mountains. Must book in advance. Only runs certain months in the year. In downtown Blue Ridge

“A must see while in Blue Ridge, Mercier started with just an apple orchard. Now you can enjoy the café, sweet shop, Mercier beer, wine and cider plus lots and lots of other food and drink options to purchase. Large store with produce, a huge honey selection and a section for home goods and more. One of our favorite stops.”

“Although Food Lion is on the way to our cabin, we prefer Ingles Market due to its size and organic section. Distance is only a couple of blocks further and well worth the driving time.”
