Great for a half day trip, there is a daily food and clothes market in the centre of town and one of the longest sandy beaches of France! Venture a little further to Guérande and its old town or to the Turballe after the salt marshes

La Baule is a beautiful very long beach, very mediteranean with beach bars and restaurants.
