The main reason to visit Fougères is the stunning château. This medieval town is on the Brittany/Normandy border,. beautiful public gardens with gorgeous views and a Saturday morning market.

The medieval fort in Fougeres is well worth a visit as is the town and its restaurants, the nearby lake and the forest, allow a day.
