Upscale pub grub that isn't too hipstery, good beer, friendly service, and a brunch to die for. It's a local institution at this point and isn't too far a walk if the weather is behaving. Check them out if you're around on a Sunday; they make proper roast dinners that would make my Irish mother proud.

A Pub with good food. Both menus are extensive in options and quality. Also near home.

A great British pub that's a local favourite in Cabbagetown! The food is excellent and well-priced. It gets busy so if you don't want to wait consider going during an off-hour.

Fabulous brunch! British feel to the menu (scotch eggs, anyone?). Great rooftop patio. Sometimes a lineup. In Cabbagetown, not far. Could walk or quick Uber.
