A classic, historic theatre with headline shows and local pieces. Tickets can get expensive but they have cheaper options and it's almost always high quality.

The oldest working theatre in Europe is a treat for eyes but even if you don't get tickets the newly opened bar is well worth a visit for a glass of wine - trust me!

Built in 1766 as a place where the people of Bristol could come together, Bristol Old Vic is the oldest continuously working theatre in the English speaking world. It was built as a symbol of the pride we have in our city and what it can achieve and remains a place of joy, discovery and adventure to this day.
