In general, you will find plenty of varied skiing in the Megève area, and it has multiple great ski schools to choose from. However, it does tend to be busier, and is somewhat more expensive. It also has frequent markets, plenty of boutiques, and lots of delicious cafes and restaurants.

Megeve is about 15 minutes drive and is an up-market resort with many attractions. It's an old place with no traffic, so a gentle promenade is an ideal way to stretch those legs and grab a drink to watch the people go by.

Very bling these days with all the branded shops , fur brigade, oysters and medieval churches.
