Check out these beautiful gardens nestled in the ranges high above New Plymouth. A must see for anyone that loves being out in nature. There’s a great cafe, a kids fun orienteering map/course that leads them on an adventure into the native bush of pukeiti.

A sprawling Rhododendron garden set it native bush between the Kaitake and Pouakai Ranges. Entry is free. A nice place to get into nature without too much effort.

Pukeiti is 40 minute drive away - extensive beautiful gardens & cafe. Great kids treehouse trail to keep the younger ones entertained

Internationally recognised garden with one of the most diverse collections of rhododendrons on display anywhere in the world. Sheltered from south-easterlies, a good option for particularly windy days. On-site cafe.
