It was a wonderful treat to Hanoi by catching with local friends who knows the right places for authentic cuisine. FOOD: The food is great representing dishes from North, Central and South of Vietnam. We love their water which is corn water, it’s refreshing, hint of sweetness and really good. Another vintage-like local restaurant with security guys wearing old Viet Minh style uniform and waiters/waitress wearing local outfit, 1946 oozes history. The ground floor dining room is elegantly set out. Old crockery complete the feeling of being thrown back in time. Hidden away on a side street, this place is popular with local Hanoians. The foods, which are beautifully represent the range of Northern cuisine and is well made to the taste of most visitors.
