The North Country National Scenic Trail is the longest in the National Trails System, stretching 4,800 miles across eight states from North Dakota to Vermont. The trail includes the riverwalk and can be taken across the street into a wooded riverside trail.

There are various segments near us. All are beautiful and different segments can be hiked in longer or shorter lengths of time.

A quiet walk in the woods. Trail head on Rock River Road, and 4 mikes south on AuTrain Road, plus accessible from Valley Spur trails near Munising. Many other sections in the U P. Well marked trail through the woods.
