Hike along the Verde River to a natural hot springs. Two pools of water built on the side of a mountain which used to be a resort years ago. The outside pool is about 95 degrees and the pool inside the rock hut is well over 100 degrees. This place is good for a day hike or even an overnight pack trip. Verde Hot Springs is a grouping of thermal mineral springs near the town of Camp Verde in Yavapi County, Arizona. The springs are located at the western bank of the Verde River. There are ruins of a former historical resort at the site and bathhouse. This is a rough road ride off of Fossil creek Rd. so you should have a high clearance vehicle. You have to first pass 2 small towns of Strawberry & Pine.
