A 20 minute drive from the cottage, this bakery is also open for lunch and dinner most days, but it is one of my favorite places for mid-day coffee and baked goods. Their pistachio croissant is one of my favorite things in the world, they also have donuts on special on the weekends and if you’re looking for a great loaf of locally made bread this is the place to go!

French country-style bakery & restaurant with lovely in, and outdoor atmosphere located oin Ghent, a village next to Chatham. Best pastry, sour dough & walnut -apricot bread in town. On weekends they also offer a special epi-baguette. Long lines though, but you can pre-order by phone or online
