Where Aberdeen originated from... a hidden gem of quaint, tiny fishing cottages tucked away at the end of Aberdeen beach. The excellent Silver Darling seafood restaurant is nearby also.
Lovely fishing village with excellent views over the sea, and harbour. Well maintained war memorial for those fallen during WW1 and WW2. There is also the lighthouse, only open once a year during Doors Open Day, which will be the 8th September.
The small village of Footdee (pronounced Fittie) is a must see - it's an old fishing village by the entry to Aberdeen Harbour. Beautiful old stone houses with thick walls, cobbled streets and a very interesting, quirky courtyard in the middle!

“Traditional and plentiful Italian dishes. It is quite small and often busy with locals. Opens for Lunch and Dinner. Excellent service and delicious food.”

“Possibly the best “dining with a view experience” in Aberdeen. Situated in the heart of Aberdeen harbour with floor to ceiling glass windows looking out over Aberdeen beach you may just see a dolphin or seal bobbing in the bay. ”
