Hiking with excellent views of the lake and a historic fire tower that can be climbed. Located in the northeastern part of Lake Martin on Smith Mountain. In the winter when the water is down, the "Island Hop Trail" can be traversed which crosses several islands. This is approximately a 45 minute drive from the southeastern part of the lake (Eclectic).
