Gorgeous public beach access only 15 min drive away! Update for those who remember the potholes, as of November 2022, Esch Rd is now freshly paved and the views are spectacular as ever!

When walking towards the beach go to the left and you'll find Otter Creek. Clear, shallow water that's really fun for kids. Stay for a sunset and have a bonfire on the beach. Fires are allowed anywhere on the beach. **Sleeping Bear Parks day pass required for parking here.

This is my favorite beach. It is like being at the ocean but without the salt water and fear of sharks and jelly fish. If you are feeling ambitious take some firewood. You can have a fire on the beach in the sand in the evening. When you take the trail to the water, if you turn left there is a small creek for the little ones to play in if Lake MI is too much wave for them.
