A rare example of a farm within a city, the CEF was established in 1886 as a scientific and agricultural research centre. Visit the Arboretum and the Ornamental Gardens, and the demonstration farm including farm animals and season events fun for families. Sledding in the Arboretum in winter is fun for everyone.

The Central Experimental Farm was established in 1886 as the central research station for the federal Department of Agriculture. It is also a National Historic Site of Canada and home to Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada headquarters.

I live on the edge of the farm. It is a fixture of the neighborhood and the gateway to local recreational paths.
