The gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, Skipton is a must place to visit! With the ancient and well preserved castle, the world famous pork pie shop (Stanworths) and Skipton Market you'll not have a single moment of boredom. Great places to eat and drink here also!

One of the best preserved castles in England and has a superb self-guided tour. There's also a teashop!

A great place to visit for a still inhabited family castle! Skipton is also a great place to wander through the cobbled streets and covered shopping halls, with coffee shops and eateries

A short walk around 3.5-5 miles through the woods and back into Skipton, perfect if you fancy a stroll. There is a map in the walks folder provided in the cottage.
