The lovely museum is an outstanding centre for Pictish and Celtic Art in Ross-shire. The unique display is focused on 15 carved Pictish stones which all originated in the village, an important centre of early Christianity. The sculptures are amongst the works of Pictish Art that inspired George Bain, the ‘father of modern Celtic design’, most of whose surviving artwork is in the care of the museum

A beautifully-situated parkland course, overlooking the Cromarty Firth and surrounding hills of Easter Ross and the Black Isle. The course was extended from 9 to 18 holes in 1997 and offers a challenge to all levels of golfer. Not a long course, 4886 yards, but tight and the small greens can test and promote skillful approach shots.

Only constructed in 2009 this superb Links course is hosting the Scottish Open again in 2016 - the fourth time the European Tour have staged this competition at Castle Stuart.. The course is beautifully situated, with commanding views over the Moray Firth to the hills and mountains beyond and has attracted international acclaim for its design, location and ability to be playable yet challenging for both amateurs and professionals.

A heath and moorland course. Undulating, narrow, tree-lined fairways favour the accurate rather than the long hitter, and there are some small, difficult to read, greens. Rough is not fierce and the course is suitable for high handicap players and the visitor in search of family golf. Easy walking, great views and the chance to see and hear a huge variety of wildlife.
