Neighborhoods
An up-and-coming neighborhood on the waterfront. Formerly an industrial and ship-building area, it's being revitalized through the addition of Chase Center, new waterfront parks, and lots of cool coffee shops and restaurants. Best of all, because Dogpatch sits on the East side of the city, it's much sunnier and warmer than the rest of San Francisco (and usually avoids the summer fog until very late in the day).

Park
Great waterfront park and beach with some plaques that explain Dogpatch history. Bring a picnic chair and lunch and hangout on the grass or on the beach. You can rent stand-up paddleboards across the street and take advantage of being on the East side of the city where we're a bit more sheltered from the wind and fog (but beware: the water is cold!).
