Cremees are Vermont speak for soft-serve ice cream. Beware that a “baby” size here probably a “regular” size at most places!

I enjoy visiting the Sheep Shop on Route 14. This is a homestead run by a family with hand-crafted sheep milk bath items, organic eggs, and other items grown or made on their property. They have a cute, small shop and you are welcome to visit their sheep, chickens, and ducks (fun for kids). Keep an eye out for a sandwich board and/or “Open” flag on the east side of VT Route 14 that marks the driveway.

Caspian Lake in Greensboro has a public beach. This is a much larger lake than our Valley Lake but worth a stop if you happen to be in the area or headed to Hill Farmstead Brewery.

Beware that the road is very windy and collapses down to 1 lane at the top. You can park along the side of the road and go for a hike. Sterling Pond Trail can be accessed from this road.

Beware that the road is very windy and collapses down to 1 lane at the top. You can park along the side of the road and go for a hike. Sterling Pond Trail can be accessed from this road.
