Sightseeing and walks
Things to see and great places to walk and explore within 20 mins drive from Lairg.
Great walks for all abilities. Across the road within the Rosehall Estate lies the deserted mansion of Coco Chanel. You can reach it by walking down the road from the car park towards Invercassley. Go through the gate on the left hand side of the road just beside the 'Achness hotel' sign.
Its also a nice spot for a picnic by the Cassley River.

Great walks for all abilities. Across the road within the Rosehall Estate lies the deserted mansion of Coco Chanel. You can reach it by walking down the road from the car park towards Invercassley. Go through the gate on the left hand side of the road just beside the 'Achness hotel' sign.

This is where you can explore Coco Chanels abandoned mansion which overlooks the river Cassley.
Head towards Rosehall and on the right hand side you will see the car park for 'Rosehall Trails'. Park here to avoid any issues blocked access or upsetting the locals.
Walk a short distance down the road until you come across a sign for 'Achness Hotel' on the left hand side. Go through this gate and follow the track down to the mansion.
Enter at your own risk - the mansion is unstable in some areas and there is glass underfoot.
Lovely picnic area just down by the river.
