  • Barney out of the Barn
For the morning booking: Guests will get to start in the poultry coop where they will be able to interact with the ducks and chickens, and perhaps collect their eggs. They will learn about feed and the mix of different species and their needs. They will open the door and watch the ducks waddle to the pond (seasonally). From there they will enter the paddock where they can interact with the donkeys and the horses and learn each of their stories. Guests will be informed about rescue animals and natural alternate methods of care. The guests will be taught how to clear their thinking in order to allow the animals to do the same and be rewarded by the therapeutic energy of the equine. For the afternoon booking: The poultry will already be free range but the guests will be able to sit by the pond (seasonally) and feed the ducks as well as have the chickens come to them for feed. Other things to note This is a hands on experience with animals. Guests are asked to be calm and allow the animals to come to them. Children must be supervised at all times. One on one (adult to child) is required. There is a good possibility you will get dirty. Hand washing will be available.

  • Forest Therapy Walk
The experience, also known as 'Forest Bathing', begins at a designated trailhead where we'll lightly introduce ourselves to each other and begin noticing the land. As we enter the forest, a prompt is given to begin to arrive and settle into the experience some more. A brief introduction to forest therapy, how it works and the health benefits of time spent in nature is given next. Information about the area and a land acknowledgement is included. Participants have the opportunity to introduce themselves more in depth in a first sharing circle before beginning to deepen and nurture nature connections. Throughout the event, several invitations are given that make room for sensory experiences, play, discovery, relaxation, listening, exploring, presence and stillness. These invitations are unique to the participants, time of day and what the forest offers and reveals during the time of the walk. The forest therapy walk ends with a tea ceremony, creating opportunities to enjoy local, sustainably foraged tea plants in circle with self, others and the land. Other things to note - This experience is child and dog friendly, please inform me to be able to adapt - If you have any allergies or mobility issues, please let me know - During the pandemic there are no portable toilets. Using the ‘facili-trees’ will be the only way to 'go'. I carry toilet paper and hand sanitizer with me

  • Forest Bathing with Beth
Do you need to de-compress, restore, renew and rejuvenate? Or just to step out and disconnect from your busy world for a few hours of self-care? We will meet in a parking area near the forest where our walk will occur. You will need to be comfortably dressed to be outdoors for 3 hours. This will not be a hike or a rigorous walk and we will not generate much heat through exertion--we will travel a total of about 1 kilometre on mostly level terrain, travelling slowly, noticing the world around us. I will offer you invitations for ways of interacting with the other-than-human world, engaging all your senses. You can choose to accept them or not! I will be asking you to turn off your phones and to not take photos until the last 10 minutes on the return journey, if you wish. At the end, I will offer a small nut-free snack. If you have any special needs or desires, just let me know! Other things to note We will be walking outside for the duration of this experience. Please come prepared for the weather of the day! I will be inviting you to turn off phones and only take photos in the last 10 minutes.

  • Hike & Yoga with a View
“The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.” - Eleanor Roosevelt We'll meet at the entrance of the trail and start with brief introductions, a review of the route, safety briefing - and pause to set an intention for the hike. Our trek begins on a wide relatively flat trail, then up along short climb to the crossroads. The trail delves deeper into the forest as it winds its way along the ridge until we reach the deck overlooking the Georgian Peaks Ski Club, showcasing panoramic views of Georgian Bay. On the deck facing our big blue bay, I'll lead a beginner-friendly yoga session to connect our mind, body and spirit with the land and the lake (AKA Spirit Lake by Ojibway Indians). Afterwards, we'll have time to relax and enjoy the scenery at the summit, spending approximately 1 hour at the lookout. Then we'll continue our hike and loop back through the forest to our car. Throughout the hike, we'll take water breaks and pause for mindful moments... forest bathing. You'll leave feeling refreshed and rejuvenated ahhh... NOTE: No washroom facilities available in or near the park And... If you don't see a date or time on the calendar that works for you or have a larger group, please contact me to check on availability and possible options. Happy to chat!

  • Nature Immersion with a Naturalist
We'll meet at our starting point and begin our 2 hour guided nature immersion walk. You will notice that you begin to slow down and become present. Your senses will awaken, savouring the sounds, sights and smells of the forest. We will identify tracks and scat and discuss the behaviour of the animal. We will walk through apple orchards, meadows, wetlands and visit a pond teaming with organic life. Depending on the season, you are welcome to enjoy the organic apples. Other things to note Our guests should wear proper clothing and footwear for varying weather conditions. Rubber boots are needed for spring. Layered clothing for the winter season.
