KRØDERBANEN. Norway's longest heritage railway . Krøderbanen, which opened in 1872, is one of Norway's oldest railways. Krøderbanen's open vintage trains run every Sunday from the last Sunday in June until the last Sunday in August. Trains may also run on other days during special events. Most people board the train at Krøderen or Vikersund station, but is possible to disembark along the way at Kløftefoss, Snarum and Sysle. Fixed opening hours: 26 June – 28 August, trains between Krøderen and Vikersud every Sunday 28 June – 21 Krøderen station, exhibitions, kiosk and souvenir shop, Tuesday – Friday.

This railway is now a museum and you can book tickets on an old train set pulled by a steam engine. The old station is converted into a museum and is a must if you travel with children
