A beautiful, glass-fronted bakery in which Justin Gellatly, formerly of St. John’s bakery, creates some of London’s finest baked goods. The doughnuts are the celebs here. Light, fluffy, crisp on the outside, and decadently filled, they are one of London’s most Instagrammed treats. Come early on weekends—they sell out quickly. If you’re an amateur baker yourself, Bread Ahead is famous for its classes, which run throughout the week.

I think this is the best bread (sourdough, foccaccia, artisan loaves) and custard-filled doughnuts in London. Hands down. Find them at Borough Market Mon-Sat, cheap, cash only.
