It is about 96 miles away. Drive time is about 1 hr 45 minutes on paved roads. Make a day out of it by seeing all the other little sites along the way. You will be glad you did or take the scenic byway and go over the Boulder mountain, which will lead you right back to us. It will be a great road trip either way.

It took me years to visit this area. However, the colorful pieces of petrified wood were worth the hike to see. Best seen in ear morning or evening for best light conditions.
