This is a very good location, with a spectacular view, it's quite a walk uphill but once you reach the top you can enjoy food and beverages in this old Sanctuary. An ideal spot if you are looking to hike a bit.

In the gabled façade there is a rose window and a Gothic portal bearing a marble bas-relief depicting the Madonna Addolorata. Originally the internal structure of the building had a division with three naves: the remains of the ancient capitals and the original columns are still visible today around the sanctuary. Today the interior of the church has a single nave, after the transformation work that was carried out during the sixteenth century. The interior decoration has several cycles of frescoes, in particular in the barrel vault, in which the story of the Finding of the sacred Marian image and a Pietà are represented. The sanctuary also preserves numerous votive offerings, mostly of a maritime nature. The mighty bell tower in front of the church is predominantly Romanesque.
