For a slightly more upscale ski resort experience try Red Mountain. Lots of well groomed runs from the beginner or intermediate skier. Located in Rossland which is 1 1/2 hours away from Nelson. Lots of nice cafes and shops in town.

Red Mountain is our favourite ski hill. It's a true family hill with lots of green/blue runs but also offers options for expert levels. They also offer cat skiing into a separate part of the hill.

Red Mountain is a activity mecca in our back yard. We are approx 3km away from Red Resort! In summer you will enjoy mountain biking, trail running, hiking, picnics and in winter; amazing tree skiing, downhill, touring. Put Red Mountain on your list of places to see in the world - you will not be disappointed.

Red Mountain Ranked as one of the top 10 ski resorts. It is the oldest ski area in Western Canada and the last great, undiscovered resort in North America. Red Mountain is 1 hour and 45 minutes away.
