The Speyside Visitor Centre provides all the information that visitor need to enjoy their stay on Speyside, whether visiting whisky distilleries or enjoying the landscapes as well videos and displays about local history and wildlife. Speyside Visitor Centre is situated on the Speyside Way beside the River Spey and is close to the centre of the town of Aberlour. It is housed in the Old Station Building in the town. Geographically, Aberlour is in the heart of Speyside and is the gateway from the west to Speyside. We provide information on the famous whisky distillleries of Speyside and other visitor attractions, on the Speyside Way, and on local walks and other activities. We also provide information on accommodation and local transport services, and we have local souvenirs for sale. In addition to the provision of information, we also have exhibitions, videos and displays about Speyside for the enjoyment of visitors. We have free public internet access. There is car parking, toilets, shops and local amenities nearby. The Speyside Visitor Centre is hosted by volunteers, trained to World Host status, who have a wealth of local knowledge and experience which they are pleased to share with visitors.

The Speyside Way is one of four official Long Distance Routes in Scotland. The Speyside Way runs from Buckie on the shore of the Moray Firth coast of NE Scotland, south-westwards to Aviemore on the edge of the Cairngorm Mountains, a distance of approximately 65 miles. There is also a 15-mile spur to Tomintoul.

Speyside Way Spur Explore the newly upgraded spur path linking Ballindalloch with Glenlivet and Tomintoul. This 15 mile off shoot of the Speyside Way takes walkers off the main long distance route that follows the Spey to discover the higher and more rugged parts of Speyside. Starting at Tomintoul, from the Campdalmore car park on the A939 (on the Grantown side of Tomintoul), the route crosses the Conglass river before climbing up to Carn Daimh, the highest point of the spur at 570m. Here you will get spectacular views across Glenlivet and the Braes towards Ben Avon and the Cairngorms. It then descends, crossing Blairfindy Moor before joining the public road, passing The Glenlivet Distillery and visitor centre. The route then crosses the River Livet, continuing over the Hill of Deskie before descending to Ballindalloch and Cragganmore where it joins the main Speyside Way path. Following extensive improvements to the route in 2019 (through the Tomintoul & Glenlivet Landscape Partnership's Accessing the Landscape project), the path surface is greatly improved and walkers can now fully experience and enjoy the changing landscapes and heritage of the area.
