Mercado da Ribeira (also known as Mercado 24 de Julho) has been Lisbon's main market since 1892 when it opened with an iron interior and a large oriental-inspired dome. In 2014 it was managed by Time Out Lisboa magazine and added newsstands dedicated to catering and trade.

Once Lisbon's biggest and busiest market, Mercado da Ribeira was recently bought by Time Out magazine and turned into a restaurant/bistrô hub, where everyone goes to eat and drink. Must go.
