Roughly an hours drive from Pemberton, Birkenhead Lake is a great option for a day trip! It does require a drive up a forest service road, so 4x4 or AWD is recommended. Featuring a stunning lake, some hiking trails and a beach.

Lovely place to swim, paddle, fish and take in the mountain views. A nice destination drive.
