삼성혈은 제주도의 탄생설화가 생겨난 곳입니다. 어느 날 땅 속에서 세 명의 사람이 솟아났고, 그들이 제주도의 선조가 됐다고 해요. 제주도에 왔다면 꼭 들려봐야 할 곳입니다. Samsunghyul is a place where legend about the birth of Jeju Island is. Long time ago, 3 persons came up here and thay are ancestors who come jeju first.

제주도 원주민의 발상지로 고(高)·양(良)·부(夫)씨의 시조인 고을나(高乙那)·양을나(良乙那)·부을나(夫乙那)의 세 신인(神人)이 솟아났다는 구멍이다. 세 신인은 수렵생활로 가죽옷을 입고 고기를 먹으며 살다가 오곡의 씨와 송아지·망아지를 가지고 온 벽랑국(또는 日本國)의 세 공주를 각각 맞이하여 혼인하고 농경생활을 시작하여 삶의터전을 개척한 인물들이다.
