The monastery of the Blessed Virgin Mary is the most visited monastery in Corfu. All the icons are from the 16th - 18th century. Peaceful atmosphere and nice views.

One of the most important monasteries in Corfu, one of the most beautiful monasteries you have ever visited, because of the amazing view it offers but also because of the exhibits that exist there. Among the other exhibits of religious interest are the bones of a whale that had been found dead on the beach below the monastery.

Breathtaking view. Perhaps one of the best sights on the island. The Monastery of Virgin Mary of Paleokastritsa is located 25 kilometers outside of the City of Corfu. Regardless of faith, a visiting tourist will find magical qualities throughout the grounds and breathtaking scenery revealed at every turn. All who share in the experience of the monastery seem to depart in hesitance and with hope for timely return. Breathtaking view.
