An excellent place for lunch or coffee and cakes. We try to visit when we are in Aviemore. Get there early if you want lunch though. They do not take bookings and it can get busy, especially in peak holiday times.
The one and only. This is an Aviemore institution and rightly so, but there's often a queue to be seated. Stunning views over the Cairngorms range, great home baking and really tasty soups and lunches (great veggie options too).

“Best pub in Aviemore, with variety of beer, gin and whisky what’s not to love. In winter the fire will be on for you to warm up by, try and find the pack of cards hidden in the books for a wee game of cards. They also have live music and party nights through out the year. So check them out to see who playing soon. ”

“If you are keen to spend some of your time further afield in the mountains then a guided trip to the reindeers up on the Cairngorms is a joy. You will join a party of walkers and a guide or two with enough lichen and food to entice the reindeer and spend some precious time in their company. Pleasant walk, great views, great animals. For those less able or with less time the Reindeer Centre at Glenmore has an enclosure to see some up close and learn a little more about reindeers and their time in Scotland. ”
