What is it? An award-winning restaurant with a wine list longer than your table. Why go? József Bock is the man behind the wine list here. His ancestors have been making wine for nine generations in the Villány region of Hungary. (Since the 18th century!) More than two-dozen of the family’s wines…

This is also a traditional hungarian restaurant like Menza, maybe a a bit more expensive than Menza, but this is one of the most famous restaurant that offers hungarian food.

Bistro
“High quality cuisine - constantly a michelin star for the past few years - based on Hungarian roots for relatively low prices. Three or four course menu á la carte including wine and water about 70 to 90 € per person. Reservation necessary!”

Restaurant
“When having opened Menza, we wanted to create a place where you can enjoy a traditional Pest style dining experience with a grand café-restaurant quality service. With our name and interior we salute the beloved retro era. Come and enjoy a perfect coffee on our terrace and taste delicious Hungarian dishes.”

Sandwichsted
“Perfect place for breakfast. The menu is simple: cottage cheese pockets, cocoa rolls, croissants, scone, jam pocket, pastries mostly for breakfast or tea, complemented by sandwiches and salads.”

Pub
“One of the most notorious ruin pubs in Budapest: excellent drinks, great music, vintage and unique atmosphere. The place often gives place to art exhibitions and live concerts to enhance the convivial ambience. ”

Spa
“The Széchenyi Baths complex is the largest “medicinal” bath centre in Europe. The waters are rich in sulphates, calcium, magnesium, bicarbonate and fluoride, which are believed to help patients with degenerative joint illnesses and other medical issues. For those who just want to enjoy the relaxing powers of the thermal pools, there are a variety of different thermal pools on site, as well as saunas and steam rooms. Massages and beauty treatments are also available at an additional fee. The two outdoor pools are fantastic places to visit on a cold, dark night, as the steam rising from the hot water makes the whole place seem wonderfully mysterious.”
