~45 min. It get crowded but awesome views. Sam's Point Area with The Ice Caves. Parking reservations are required on weekends and holidays from April 15 through November 15.

Wide carriage trails for hiking and biking, and a gorgeous lake for swimming.

1 hour drive in Ulster County. It’s a bit of a drive but well worth it. There is a 5 mile hike to the very remote Lake Owosting which is magical. For a short hike you can stick to the main path which is a mile or around a smaller lake. There are a number of trail to choose from.
