Canino's has been Houston's farmers market since 1958. Until this year, family-owned, over 18 acres, and open daily 6am-8pm. They are set to get a $10 million dollar makeover in the coming 18 months. Intended to transform a bustling web of vendors and wholesalers into a destination market and one stop shop. Part of the plan to keep the classic charm includes keeping all of the current vendors and adding James Beard award winners and other new features as well. The market will stay open during renovations.

If you are looking for legitimate farmer's markets, Canino's is one you've got to check out. It is a really great Mexican market where you can get bulk herbs, hard to find ingredients and lots of great produce and goods.
