This National Park preserves an Ancient Sonoran Desert People farming community and “Great House.” Created as the nation’s first archaeological reserve in 1892, the site was declared a National Monument in 1918.

This historic National Park showcases an early Native dwelling, culture and early life. This is a senior friendly setting. The drive is also gorgeous. There is not a lot of to in the town of Casa Grande itself, but the locals recommend a good hole in the wall restaurant down the road, Rolberto's. It Mexican and where the locals eat.

If you're interested in history than the Casa Grande ruins are a must see! Take a trip back in time visiting these ancient ruins, left behind by the Salado people.
