Rain or shine event celebrating music, food, and crafts. As there are beer gardens, etc., the event seems more tailored for adults. Notable people/groups that have played at the Folk Festival in the past include: Bob Dylan, Pixies, Mumford & Sons, Regina Spektor, Kacey Musgraves, Dolly Parton, and more.

The Newport-Providence ferry landing is located just down the road and is hands-down the best way to get to/from the Newport Folk Festival and Newport Jazz Festival. A beautiful 1 hour ferry ride with stellar views, cash bar and zero stress!
