The Vegetarian House is an organic vegan restaurant located in downtown San Jose; it was inspired by The Supreme Master Ching Hai, a world renowned spiritual teacher and humanitarian. The restaurant began operation in 1994 with a vision of a world where all beings, humans and animals could live together in peace, love and harmony. We love this vegan restaurant, because we can order anything without having to think - including non-alcoholic beers and wines! It even carries organic, whole pet foods, fair trade jewelry, etc.!

This food is so good that I can guarantee happy diners - including meat-eaters. I'm not vegetarian, but I would eat here several times a week. Highly recommend trying it while you're here. You'll probably call it the best vegetarian restaurant in the country.
