The preserve includes 84 acres on Kiket Island and Flagstaff Point and 9 acres on Fidaglo Island. Believed to be the first park in the United States to be co-owned and managed by a tribe (Swinomish) and another government, management of the area focuses on conservation and research, public education and limited recreational use, including hiking.
Wonderful walk and beach along Snee Oosh Road in La Conner. Sacred Swinomish tribal land. Dogs are NOT welcome.
Very close to us, no cars allowed on island. Do watch for tides high can put water over the access. A favorite place for our guests and locals!
Our favorite park just a few miles west of LaConner. Parking is limited right off the road. They both lead to a wonderful beach. There is a large level field for playing of picnics. Washington Discovery Pass required or $10 day pass.
