Inverness Castle now has a view point. You can't enter the Castle as it is not open to visitors but the view point gives you a great outlook. You need to book in advance.

Great views of the Capital of the highlands, Inverness. At present, only the castle grounds and the north tower are open to the public.

Scenic Lookout
“The Fyrish Monument is a monument built in 1782 on Fyrish Hill (Cnoc Fhaoighris), in Fyrish in Evanton, near Alness, Easter Ross. The site of the monument provides an extensive view over the Cromarty Firth and beyond, and Ben Wyvis can be seen clearly, especially impressive if snow-covered. A path to the top starts at a car park northeast of the hill at OS grid NH627715.”

Restaurant
“Intimate restaurant owned by a chef who specialises in Scottish produce - particularly seafood. A firm favourite of ours. Nice place for a romantic meal followed by a stroll along the river back home.”

“A beautiful woodland walk suitable for most although could be trying for people with limited mobility. The falls and river views are beautiful. There are public toilets at this location.”
