Palisades park features two pioneer cabins, schoolhouse, arboretum, nature trails, pavilions and two conference halls. Inspiration Point allows visitors to overlook eastern Blount County into St. Clair County. Great top rope climbing is available for experienced climbers with gear.

Great hiking and awesome views. 5 minutes out of town. Also check out the yearly Christmas in the park lighting. And for the climbers awesome place to toprope and trad climb.

Here you will discover some of the best views in all of Blount County. With a playground, walking trails, and several picnic areas, this place has something for everyone. During Christmas, you can drive through the park and see all of the decorations that light up the park. You may also see Santa here if you go on the right night.
