In nearby Capitol Hill, home to the sculpture that helped inspire Soundgarden’s Black Hole Sun. It’s got a beautiful conservatory and the Asian Art Museum, too. Both worthy of a visit. But if you want to keep things free, you can also climb the water tower, have a picnic, maybe catch some music if there’s something happening on the outdoor stage by the reservoir on a summer weekend.

Massive park with beautiful plants, trees, and flowers. Great views from various parts of the park, or climb the conservatory (free!) to take in an awesome view of downtown!

Smaller park with some views of Seattle and on-wards to the Sound. It houses SAM's Asian Museum too.
